Geffen Playhouse

This 1929 landmark adjacent to the UCLA campus in Westwood Village underwent an extensive renovation in 2005 & 2006 with the help of media mogul David Geffen. The architect, Ron Frink of RFA Architects, was challenged with bringing the facility up to current standards in terms of safety, technology, acoustics and aesthetics, while maintaining the historic character of the building and simultaneously keeping the project on time and within budget - a major feat! The executive offices, administration, casting, and all creative and support departments feature beautifully tailored furniture from Teknion utilizing many fabrics selected by Ron Frink and his team. The fnished product is truly an award-winning performance, as Ron and his team were recognized as the 2006 Project Grand Prize Winners by the Southern California Development Forum for their work on the Geffen Playhouse.
